GOSI is charged on basic and housing together, and nothing else.
The 2024 reform put new Saudi entrants on a pension rate that rises each July. Existing subscribers stay on 9%.

Everyone on the establishment’s file, Saudi and expatriate.
Counted as heads. Nitaqat weights some people differently, so the real count may differ.
Optional. HRSD sets it per economic activity and size band; your Qiwa dashboard shows it.
Put in your headcount. The ratio and size band appear here.
What each band means
An estimate to check a figure against, not advice. Your GOSI registration date, contract and Qiwa dashboard are the authority for your own case.

Read from the Saudi pack and labelled honestly: these rates have not been through review yet.
Why do two Saudis on the same wage pay different GOSI?
Because of when they first joined the scheme. The July 2024 reform left existing subscribers on 9% pension and put new entrants on a rate that rises half a point each July, to 11% in 2028.
Do expatriates pay GOSI?
The employer does, for occupational hazards only, at 2% of basic plus housing. Nothing is deducted from the expatriate’s wage.
Why does the tool not show my Nitaqat colour?
The ministry publishes a different threshold table for every economic activity and size band. Without your activity’s table a colour would be a guess, so the tool gives the ratio, the size band and the gap to a floor you enter.
Is there a cap on GOSI?
Contributions are charged on a wage between SAR 1,500 and SAR 45,000 a month. Above the ceiling nothing more is due, and below the floor the floor is charged.
More on the rest of it on the Saudi Arabia compliance page.
Dawmo applies the right GOSI rate to each employee from their hire date and nationality, and keeps the Saudization ratio on the same record as the payroll.
